The battery in my 03 Z06 has gone to better times, so I need to replace it. Went to autozone and picked up an Optima RED75/35 battery. Now for the tricky part
I'm a computer geek. I can fix damned near anything related to a router, switch or firewall. What I can't do is fix a car So, how should I disconnect, remove, replace and reconnect the new battery? Here is what I think I should do:
1) Disconnect the ground.
2) Disconnect the positive.
3) Remove the battery
4) Put new battery in
5) Connect the positive
6) Connect the ground
Is that correct? On a side note, I have a AAA membership I have all but forgotten, so I'm calling them to come give me a jump so I can get it out of the damned garage
Yes you are correct with 1 - 6, but always be careful never to short out the two battery terminals with anything metal like a wrench. Or just get the AAA guy to do it.
