Default K & N Oil Filter Question

I just changed the oil in my '94 & '97 Vettes. I used K & N Oil filters, on the '97 the hex attached to the filter hangs below the oil pan, and seems to be the lowest part of the car. Has anyone had any problems using these filters?

I use K & N filters for my lowered Z06 but didn't think that it hung down passed the pan, but I will look the next time I change oil. How far pasted the pan is the fillter hanging. The K & N filter I'm using is a HP1007, is that the same number filter that you using?

I beleive that is the same number, the filter is even with the bottom of the pan, only the hex hangs below everything.

I almost sheared the nut off the filter. My oil change shop had previously advised against this filter on my lowered car.

I've been using the K&N HP1007 oil filter on my car since I bought it in August, and have put over 6000 miles on it without any issues. It doesn't hang low enough to be a problem.

I use this filter (hp1007) also and am lowered on stock bolts and have my LGM longtubes which hang lower than the filter nut and have never scraped anything except the front air dam.
