About a month ago, I had the Column lock recall done at the local chevy dealership. About two weeks later, I got the pull key, wait ten seconds message on the DIC and then again, today.
Is the message related to the CLB problem? If not, what causes it? Is it just a glitch or something I need to chase down.

i never took my car to a dealer for CLB fix...about a month ago, i got the same message twice in two weeks....never showed up again....i am guessing it is a glitch.... but, still worried somehow...
You might want to read what your Owner's Manual says about this warning message. This message may also occur when the ignition key is removed and reinserted before the steering column lock system fully locks or unlocks the steering column. Hope this helps.

If you have a 6 speed your car will still lock up on you, even if you had the recall done. MN6 owners definitely need to get the CLB done. There have been too many posts on here with people being stranded because they thought the dreaded column lock wouldn't happen to them. just my observation.
My C5 did the same thing after the steering thing was replaced. I lived with it. It would die and I would wait a few seconds and restart it. It didn't quit while driving.
I did have the recall done. My car is an automatic. I was hoping the two of these things are unrelated.

If that is the case, then maybe they are unrelated. Have you tried cleaning (with denatured alcohol) the resistor contact points on your keys, or inside the ignition slot. Thay may help.
I wonder... Maybe your model year isn't having a good reaction to the GM bypass... I remember reading, here on the CF I think, that some of the 97s & 98s weren't reacting well to the aftermarket CLB...
Then again I get the Pull key messages every now & then myself.
