I have an 01 Z06 with 69,000 miles. It still has the original clutch and, believe it or not, the original brake pads!
I haven't raced it (officially) but I don't baby it either.
Just curious about what experiences owners of the 97's to 2000 vettes have had as far as clutch life, longevity of the LS1/LS6 engines, remaining drive train components, etc.

I'd be interested to hear responses on this as well. My 2000 coupe has ~71,700 miles on it, and Friday night I first noticed what I believe to be the widespread "clutch-sticking-to-the-floor" problem. I don't know if it is the same issue, but twice now, when I've wound it up pretty good in 1st gear, the clutch pedal gets to where I only feel resistance at, say, the bottom third (or less) of travel. Normally, I might feel resistance over 80-90% of travel, with the top part having a little slack in it. It also becomes very hard to get enough clutch movement to shift gears, and it's especially hard to ease off from a stop. This doesn't just happen and go away, either-- it continues to do this even if I take it very easy after the initial occurrence.
Interesting question...I have a Y2k car with 51K. I still have the original brake set up and the brakes are as strong as they were 5 years ago when I purchased the car. Ditto for the clutch.
I just changed out my clutch b/c GM was re-building my rear end and had all the junk out of the way. My stock '01 clutch w/ 39,000 miles on it looked great when pulled out. I changed it b/c of athe labor savings.
As for brake pads I dunno b/c I road race it and change 'em a bunch.
120K+ miles, 2 years of autocrossing, a few track days, and the only thing I've had go wrong was a weld breaking on the intermediate pipe where it joins to the mufflers.
Nothing in the drive train, suspension, brakes, etc. Obviously I'm replacing brake pads, but even the rotors are holding up well. Change out the engine oil 3 times a year, flush the brakes every year and bleed every 3 events, tranny and diff fluids once a year, etc.
My '99 FRC still has the original clutch and brakes @ 65k miles. The clutch is still fine, but the brakes just locked up on me a week or so ago. Just in time for the new Brembo's
Car has 150,000 miles on original drivetrain, clutch let go at 135,000. Only issue with the motor is a self inflicted pressure loss from some engine work I did.
