Ac/defroster Problem
on my 97....**** on far right (the selector **** for vent,floor, defrost, etc) on my non automatic climate car, is binding inside. hard to turn. useless to turn now anyway. air blows only out vents. i know vacuum lines run all this crap. ive had old cars in the past that ive worked on before. this one just acted up a while back, and i'd have to turn the **** from far left to far right a few times before it would let the defroster work, now its stuck only on the panel vents and wont go to floor or defrost. im thinking the control head is probally whats causing it, it binds so somethign aint right inside so ill replace it. whats the probability of this being my only problem? do older C5's have vacuum problems that im gonna have to chase arond all inside the dash etc? any input would be appreciated. also, whats the easisest way to get to the HVAC 'box' where all the doors etc are in the event i do have to do more than just the control head part...
