Its the Kooks. When you weigh "overall fit", finish, product support, performance gains, materials, and fairness of price/value. Kooks headers win out.
You won't hear anything about Kooks headers hitting the steering column during hard turns. Nor will you hear about fractured off air tubes or poor welds. You won't hear about price gouging, or rusting and corrosion. You won't hear about poor service and support. You won't hear about the inability to use all four 02 sensors. You won't hear about burned wires. You won't hear about bell housing brackets breaking off. Or not lining up. And unless its a lowered car, you likely won't hear about clearance issues.
What you will typically hear about are significant gains. And at a fair price.
About the only beef you'll hear is the install. Which is not much if any harder than the others. Especially since the driver side header revision of the Kooks.
I could have bought any headers I wanted. I chose Kooks.

Aren't the TPIS's made of steel and most of the others Stainless? I suspect they are cheaper because of this. I also don't like porcelin coatings they use, prefer Jet Hot Sterling Silver process. I am leaning toward Kooks or the LGMs (Borla). The HP claims of the LGM (Up to 39 RWHP) are far beyond any the others. TPIS says only 17 HP gain, not even worth the trouble and expense in my opinion. I wonder if this is real stuff? If so, the LGs become well worth the extra bucks but I am leary of HP claims. What do you guys think, are the LGs worth the extra money? Or is this bull? Wonder what the Jet Hot headers will do for performance, still an unknown. Can't go by looks alone!
I bought a set of TPIS about 2 years ago and they are rusting already. This is the second set thats been on the car. The first was covered by the vendor when the air tube welds broke. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't buy them.
I have had Kooks for several months now. They hang low but I have not had clearence problems yet. I did have to turn the rear two O2 sensors off because it they were throwing codes. No harm. I have them with the GHL's and the 4 inch tips. The GHL's look like 4 cannons and sound very good.

I have about the same set out at lightfighter, but never throw a code with the O2 sensers on.
see sig.
I like the kooks , but I wonder how long they will last without some kind of finish like jet coat.
