check engine light
I installed a 3.42 gear in my 2003 automactic. All was & is going good
until the check engine light came on (steady) I looked at all the things
the book said to do but light still on. Also I used Hypertech to change
the computer. What can I do. Can anyone help with this ?

First read the codes from the Drivers Information Center to make sure it is related to the gear swap. Unfortunately, if it is, the Hypertech did not correct the gear scaling properly. Then your alternatives are Predator, LS1 Edit, or HP Tuner.

To get the codes turn the ignition on but do not start the engine then hold the options button down and press the fuel button 3 times. Post your codes here and someone will be able to decode them for you.
