My steering column was locked up a few weeks ago, with the error message "pull key, wait 10 secs". I took it to the dealer to get the new bypass installed. Haven't had any issues with the steering column lock up since then, but I still get that warning occasionally. If I try to drive with that warning, it cuts my engine. So my column is unlocked, but the engine cuts off. Is this normal? Did they mess up the wiring when replaced the column lock? It seems the car thinks the column is locked, when it isn't. Anyone else seen this?

When you brought the car in to the dealer for the recall, the actual work on your car was make sure that the fuel would be cut off when the colum lock would appear.....
i went for the recall myselfe.....after a month i got the colum locked, with the "message".....followed the instructions given me in this forum to unlock the steering weel; after that,i ordered and just installed the CLbypass....
