I just got an aftermarket warranty today and the guy who did the inspection told me that my rotors needed cutting. The car seem to pulsate worse especially over 40 when braking.Does anyone know a good place in south florida to get the rotors cut.I live in Fort Lauderdale. He said it shouldnt cost more than 100 bucks.Help me out guys.To be honest Im not even really sure what cutting the rotors means and how it eliminates the pulsation.

Seems like the cheaper way to go-Ken Fichtner has them for cheap as well. Buy the pads yourself and avoid the "hidden costs..." and pay for install only

To answer your question. You most likely have a high spot on one of your rotors. That is why you feel a vibration when you apply your brakes. By cutting your rotors you eliminate the high spots on your rotors. Cutting your rotors is not a big deal and should not be very expensive. Any Chevy dealer or a shop that does brakes can take of it for you. Or as mentioned above you can replace the warped rotors with new ones.
I didnt realize I could buy new ones for only 100 bucks. This is why I love this forum.Does anyone know if replacing the rotors would be covered under warranty or does it have to come out of my pocket?
