What mods would it take to break the 200mph barrier in a 2002 6-speed C5 Targa?? I know there are many ways to achieve the necessary power so I guess this is a bit of an opinion question...What mods would YOU make to go beyond 200mph? And what mods would help in making the car as stable as possible at that speed? Mostly just curious...
You will need 550-600+ FWHP, and a redline of about 6800. You will need to lower the front as far as it will go, and the back-but maintain a lower rake front to rear unloaded by 1/2 and inch-with a full gas tank. Very simplified...

This power level can be achieved a few different ways:
(All prices are estimates, they can be a good bit higher or lower depending on what brands you choose)
NA (Normally Aspirated):
-Heads/Cam/Valve springs/Retainers/Push Rods ~$3500
-LS1 EDIT $500
-LT's and X pipe $1200
-Cat Back $700
-Vararam Intake $369
-160 degree thermo $75
-Z06 Clutch $400
Total: $6744 (Plus install on some items)
Results: ~475rwhp= 546 at the flywheel (FWHP)
OR
Supercharged
Same as above minus Heads and Cam but add on supercharger kit which run $5000-$7000
Total: $9244
Results: 515rwhp= 592 at the flywheel (You could make more by running more boost but most people stay around this level with stock internals)
Of course all of these numbers do not address things like brakes and suspension which will need to be addressed.
