i realize there have been several discussions about similar topics-i've read many of them...i am considering an exhaust system...i'm not looking for anything too aggressive, and i'm looking for something that does not create much interior resonance...of all the systems i've heard, the corsa touring seems best...however, everyone has some other mods...my car is stock but for a blackwing filter (also have eradispeed rotors-not much interior noise), so the equation is not quite equal...also, i understand an x-pipe may be benefical...what's your opinion?
It's amazing how hard this decision is, i read and read and read for 2 months before choosing. Glad I went with what I did but others think the same thing about what they went with. Good luck, hope it works out for ya. I'll prbably do the "line the back/cockpit with Dynamat" this winter to further reduce sound of tires though, but then i won't be able to hear exhaust. Choices, choices...
I've had a Corsa Pace Car system on my 1999 C5 6mn since the car was new. I just installed the Corsa crossover (X pipes) and it eliminated the motorboat sound at idle and popping on deceleration. To my surprise it now is more quiet and has a much better sound. I don't think this system is loud enough to be objectionable and I've taken a few long trips.
I have the borla stinger w/ 4 tips. Everyone loves the sound when the come in contact with the car. I have a stock 99 A4 with the exhaust being the only non-stock part. It has a unique sound and is loud compared to the other cat-back systems. Throaty. My neighbor had a corsa indy put on his 03 A4 and it's weak. my neighbor even says he wish he would have gone with the borla. Corsa is louder than stock but it has a goofy gurble to it. Where borla is very throaty. If you like loud this is for you if not - corsa will probably be better for you. I haven't heard anyone with a B&B.
I agree with EHS, the tourings with an x-pipe will not sound much different than stock. Go with the Indy's and X, you won't be too loud, but the sound will be great.

John, I just installed the Corsa Pace system and I am completely pleased. There is no resonance at all and no popping on decel. The sound is great, in my opinion, and the quality seems excellent. I know there are many opinions on this subject but I am totally satisfied. Hope this helps you. Call me if you need more details. 724-882-5266

I'm with Mark on the x-pipe and you got a lot of good feedback here. My biggest suggestion is find a couple cars and ride in them yourself to hear. Every ear is so different. It'll save you a pile of cash.
I know because I'm trying to get rid of my Stinger 2 tips. Loved them with otherwise stock exhaust, but when I did the Kooks and x-pipe... it got loud!
