I bought a set of stock fog lights with the stock brackets a few days ago and want to mount them on the car, however, I noticed where they go on the car that there's a hexagonal hole for them to mount to.
What kind of bolt goes through there? It doesn't look like I could easily put a regular bolt through the opening and attach a nut to it due to space. Can anyone shine some light on this?
Those are called "PIN" by GM. Group # 0.293 and part # 12558081 list for $1.50 each but comes in packs of 5. These are collapsable nuts (once you tighten them in the hex hole, they will be secure). GM has a special tool to collapse these but you can make your own by using nuts and a washer (make sure the pin is in the hole before tightening). Hope this helps.
