Due to 'lessons learned', about 3 of the 6 bolts that hold the fuel sender unit in my tank are irrepairable. The local dealership wants $620 for a new tank and gmpartsdirect wants $365 (plus S&H)
Anybody have any suggestions on obtaining a new tank? I'd _prefer_ a brand new tank, seeing as how the bolts take _60_ inch-lbs of torque to operate. I get the feeling that, while you might be able to R&R the system once, you wouldn't be able to do it a second time.
