Will the short Z-51 C6 shifter fit a C5????

I have been waiting for someone to answer this also. Want to replace my stock shifter with something. I hope someone can answer this soon.

Would love to know cause it is THE answer. Night and day difference compared to any aftermarket C5 shifter.

I had a talk with Bob at Fichtner about this a few weeks ago and he told me he didn't think he could even get me one to try because of the tight supply chain on certain C6 parts for the time being.

C6 shifter fitting on a C5

I believe that the height of the shift **** is different than the C5, the **** height has been lowered with the new shift **** design. However, I don't think the C6 **** will fit on a C5 shifter assembly.

I also believe that there were some internal changes inside the transmission to give the shorter throws the C6 has. Not 100% certain.
