I will say this, you cant beat them for the money. Most of the others that have themm only have the 2-way setup and i wasnt too impressed with them. I have always had 3-way componets and have loved the 4" for vocals. I think they sound remarkably well for not having to pay big dollars on a componet set. My tweeters are mounted behind the factory grill in the upper corner.

Hope this helps!

I have 3-way Focals in my doors that fit perfectly without any modification. I have a picture of the install.

Default 10s or 12s

towercontroller are those 10s or 12s in the hatch
id like to put 2 12s but worried about too much space being taken up and still trying to stoe the top as well
thinking about 2 alpine type r 12s as they only take .7 to 1.0 minimum air space per 12

If you fab it with fiberglass correctly, you can make the top fit in without issues. The top slants from the back to the front of the car. In the worst case scenario, you can always build up the mounts on the floor so that the roof fits flat.

Default too much

only other question i have is do you think 2 12s would be too much bass
for the 3way components to keep up
i want everything to blend highs mids bass
ill admit i like deep bass but not so much that you cant hear the details in the treble and mids
im building my system more for sq than spl but i still like to hit the low notes and beat down every now and then
dont want to put 2 12s in the back if i dont need to
so what would you suggest
10s are not an option (12s get deep but still stay tight where as 10s dont get deep enough at least in my opinion)
also each 12 will have about 350 watts driving each one

im the same way, i want sound quality initially but at any given time i want to beat the **** out of the car when the right song comes on. I personally would recommend the single 12 of choice. It wont over power the seperates and its a happy medium.

Besides it looks better and their are more options for a single woofer. I personally, dont think you will like dual 12's in the vette. My opinion is its overkill. With a base-control **** it's as easy as turning up the volume.
