Differences betwwen AC control units??
Guys,
I need to change the center console control unit for my dual zone AC in my '98 vert, and I'm looking for a used replacement to save on the cost. I've noticed that the GM partno's are different between years and my questions are: What differs? Can I fit a different partno in my car or do I have to stick with the correct partno?

I have a 99 and had the original units part number replaced three times. I asked the delaer to get to the root of the proble. My understanding was GM told them of the second or newer part number ( they changed some of the inards). Should be a plug and play direct sway, it was for me anyway. Unit cost was $400 and it is a DIY project. Not sure if there is a TSB.
