MAF Sensor question.....
Hello everyone, I am somewhat new here & would appreciate some input on somthing that happend to me last weekend:
For the second time, the MAF sensor went out on me. After the tech at the dealer took a look at it, I recieved a call telling me they would not replace it because the screen was missing. I went down to the dealership & showed them the GM invoice from the first time she went in for this & they, very quickly, agreed to fix it.
My question is: assuming that the MAF sensor that was installed from the first problem was fine, how can the screen disapear? & where would it go?
I plan on going back to the dealer to pose this question to them, but I thought I would get some input from you fine folks first.

The screen is pretty muched fixed so either the tech put in an aftermarket one or instead of giving you a new one, he might have removed the screen thinking that it was the cause of the initial problem. That's just my guess.
