This thread seems a little stealthy. Would you let us in on what problems you are having. I was considering this TB with an LSX intake to finish out my setup. If there are issues, hook a fellow Corvette owner and let us know before we throw our money at it.... please

Spoke with Carmen. The adjustment setting was not where it normally is when I send them out. The previous owner may have modified it. I gave him some specs to try and I am waiting on results. Problem is high revs on an initial cold start.

I am running Nick's TB and the only tables in idle and limiters that are not stock are idle and RAF. This is not uncommon. If you ever get to Winston Salem I'd love to show off how well it runs.
If your car is running right before you change to the 90mm, it will either run right or be easy to adjust.
The problem described above usually happens if the RAF's cold are too high or the voltage screw has been messed with. Voltage cannot be set by a meter. GM does not do it that way because each TB motor is slightly different. It is done by blade angle.

Good to know. I've had no dle issues at all prior to installing the TB and a 90mm FAST intake combo. The problem arrises when trying to start the car when cold. The RPM's rev up to 2500 before settling in at 800 RPM. It also idles rough until the coolant warms to approx. 160 degrees. Also if the battery drains, as happened when I left a light on, the first time you start it it goes nuts. It revved up to 4000 RPM then dropped to a sick sounding 500 RPM before screaming back up to 4000 RPM within a few seconds, all on a COLD engine. Once warm you can turn the car off and it starts just fine with the revs hitting 1000 RPM before immediately dropping to its normal level of 800.

I was told there was no way to get Nick W. TB to idle. We have 90MM TB # 2. Car wanted to hang @ 3000 RPM, etc.. It wasn't much fun to drive, and most folks had no clue what to do about it.

Funny thing. I talked with Nick, and got some help from a few other folks, and we simply re-did the tune on the car. We have the car running fine now.

Keep in mind this is with the "un-tunable" throttlebody. Car idles and drives great. I think we've eliminated the reduced power mode now entirely, but I need to re-check it, and haven't had time.

We're also testing speed density with it too...

As far as I'm concerned throttlebody issues are simply a tuning issue at this point, once you have TPS set. You get the tuning working, and the car will work. The issue I also see is many folks making changes to the PCM without sitting down to understand the interaction between certain fields so that making a change in one area is offset by changes in another area.

Thank you. If there continues to be a problem with this unit Nick was kind enough to offer to exchange it or give me a refund so that there would be no delay in getting a different unit on ASAP, a unit of your choosing. I leave it up to you. Please call when you know something.

Nick Williams produces the best 90mm TB out there. It's not the TB it's the settings or the tune.

Gosh I hope you are right. Do they make any power on stock displacement motors when coupled with a 90mm Intake?
