Default Head and Cam package???

Well i am really pondering which to get! It is a lil more confusing then buying a supercharger i see since all of these numbers that come with actually reading the heads and cams... So really I want to buy some pretty soon where can I go purchase some good ones for a reasonable price... thanks!!!

There's an article in a new Corvette magazine, could be Corvette Fever, that shows AFR heads and other parts that put out some good power without losing drivability. I'm going this route since a supercharger could be added later but it doesn't seem necessary, 500 hp is enough for me.

I agree about SLP. Give Jason at Texas speed, a suporting vender, a call, tell him Angelo referred you and he'll hook you up with the right H/C comb at the RIGHT price.

Not in my version of reality. 125 hp max for H/C w/Headers w/o cats, FAST Intake manifold 90mm p/p throttle body, electric water pump, UD pulley on a 346. A big block or stroker is a different story though.

Ported and hand polished AFR Heads with a monster cam and all of the above might get there though, but probably would not be very street friendly. Best,

I would say yes if looking at flywheel horsepower. My 385hp motor now puts out 525hp. Thats 140hp. Pretty close to that mark.
Just my 2 cents.

OK. So how about an audio clip of your kitten purring. BTW I have the 115 LSA as well.....but not such an aggressive lift. Best,

Just finished the AFR heads and Comp cam 224/228
car made 402 at the wheels with heads, LG headers and cam.
The intake, pulley, injectors and Tbody should prove another 25-30 to the tires...But thats down the road for me.
I love the results.... DYNO numbers are not everything, besides they very anyway. Andy's DYNO is very conservative.
The real test was the 486RWHP Cobra that I put in check this weekend!
Go heads and cam= AFRs and Comp cam

Depends on what you want to do, and how much you are willing to spend to do it. I wanted my Z to be at a point where if I drove it correctly, I could manage to get it comfortably into the 10's (on the right tires, of course ), and yet be able to enjoy driving it around the street or on the open highway. I basically went with this package from ECS,

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=953651

with the exception that I have a different air intake and kept my Ti exhaust. My car dyno'd at 451.6rwhp/410.6 rwtq, using the 4.10 gears (which, I am told sacrifice maybe 10 or more rwhp). It has what I would consider absolutely marvelous street driving characteristics (I can drive at 40 mph in 4th gear with nary a problem!), and I have what many would consider a "big" cam (LG G5X3 on a 114 lsa). As for performance, I'm not into the 10's yet (basically just got the car back a couple of weeks ago, so I'm still learning). At a recent track rental at Atco I was able to easily drive it to an 11.55@122 (1.69-60'...no power shifting) and Robz also made a "gentle" (no power shifting either) pass at 11.30@123 (1.59-60') and hit the limiter a couple of times while doing this. So the car is capable.
