Vararam ( www.vararam.com ) is what I have in my 2000 coupe. Even though they say its a bolt on system and you can do it in an afternoon, don't believe it. It is probably really easy if you have means to a lift because it involves getting it from the top and bottom. There are alot of others out there that I have done research on, but I think they're all about the same and you won't really feel the difference until your above 75+ mph and the difference is slight at that, just my opinion though.

Vararam is the best one performance wise, My trap speeds in the 1/4 went up anywhere from 3-5mph.

It was easy to install. Not sure how much if any it added in terms of HP's.

Anyway - if it's simplicity to install it took 10 minutes.
I am not a mechanic - but it was really simple.

I bought a Halltech Stinger and it appears to be a well made intake system.

Does the vararam pass the visual for emissions testing? I would imagine that it would be a PITA to keep switching to stock for testing.

I went with the Blackwing. Not as much horsepower gains as the vararam, but it looked like a better filtering set-up and sat higher from the road (less chance of water ingestion). The blackwing also comes with a filter minder (lets you know when to clean the filter.
Air Intake set-ups, just like an exhaust is all a matter of preference.
