which is a helluva deal when one finds out how tedious the task is. If you have headers the number just went up $250-$500. If you can find a reputable shop that will do the job for $500 to $800 , I would jump all over it. Depending on what area of the country you live in, the price could be considerably higher.
If you are adventurous, you could do the job yourself and do some nice tasks along the way, install a scattershield, check your torque tube couplings, maybe even swap gears for grins. It's not a hard job, but certainly not one for the faint of heart.
I just had mine replaced this month at 21st century muscle cars. They replaced mine with an LS6 clutch, flywheel, slave and master cylinders, and drilled out something in the cylinders increasing the performance of the clutch system all for $990. The clutch now is lighter than the original.
