Default Cartek issues?

Hi all,

I hate to bring this up but what is up with Cartek. I have been waiting to get my car forever. The h/c package is taken over 10 weeks.

Whenever I call Dave, I keep getting the run arounds. I believe they do great products but the service is terrible.

What can I do? I know the vendors support the Corvette Forum and I have to be careful how I share this issue but I feel vendors get away with too much. I don't mind paying thousands of dollars to get them good business but it is not fair to be completely at their mercy.

I just would like to know who is having customer service issues with Cartek.

Thanks in advance for your help.

F.

Hi Fastcar11,

I know how you feel. I am experiencing the same problem with Cartek.

I have been afraid to bring it up because I don't want to **** them off. I have heard they have called some customers whenever they complained and told them to pick their car unfixed! Can you believe it?

Also, I am afraid to share any details at the CF because the vendor supports the forum and I don't want to get locked out but it is very unfair.

You have my support! I hope you can get it resolved.

I had some serious customer service issues with Cartek too and I was able to resolve them at the end. I don't know what was the deal, I think they are under-staffed but they should not take on so much work if they cannot properly service it, otherwise it becomes a very sour experience.

I wish you the best and I hope you can resolve it!

Hi Domba,

Thanks a lot for your support, I really appreciate it. I don't mind to complaint about Cartek but enough is enough. This totally sucks!

Hi Blackbullet,

I read your post. I feel in the same boat. Why do we have to deal with these issues over and over? There should be something that we could do.

As a community , we need to know these things.. I can empathise with your concerns about how you post this,,, it should not be that way..
Many people say if you dont have anything positive to post then dont post anything,,
Well I am here to tell you that this information is more important than "oh they are great... ". Although we haven't heard from Cartek... Things like waitng ten weeks for heads and Cam, etc. is not good..
and having three people jump in here with similar issues, is interesting and valuable. When issues like this come up, and if infact they say" take your car out of here " i then I would never want to do buisiness with them..
My one and only question is this.,,
Your car has been tied up for ten weeks.. 2 and one half months. When you decided to take your car there for heads and cam did they tell you there would be any problems, or did they tell you how long it would take. I can understand the thinking about "Dont turn any work down" but they have to be honest with you upfront. in two and a half months they could have done 20 sets of heads and cams. Was there that many cars ahead of you..
THank you for posting this delicate matter, and thanks to the others too. I know you feel as though your stepping on thin ice.. but I know I appreciate this information, as I am sure other do as well.. BTW you handled your concerns and posted this appropriatly without a long rant... just the facts, as you see them.. I hope things work out for you
Waiting on Cartek, to hear their side.

10 weeks for heads and cam? WTF is that? I would be pissed also.
Should be 1 week max for something like that.

When someone has a vendor related issue, they should try to resolve it first with the vendor. If that fails, then there is no issue from a forum standpoint from posting a factual account of the issue in an effort to gain resolution to the issue.

The only thing the admins don't want is for hearsay, or bandwaggoning.

As I said, the best way is to take care of it with the vendor. If you feel that is getting you nowhere, write up a point by point list of issues, and post them in a factual manner.

not saying it can't be true, but both also registered on the same day, Nov. 17, 2004 and the follow up post was 8 minutes after the first one, at 2:22 in the morning

I agree, 1 post and 3 posts... I'd like to see if the mods can do an IP trace to ensure these posts are from unique locations.

Something fishy is going on with fastcar11 and domba. As well as the enrollment and post trends mentioned, there are also VERY similar grammatical errors in all the posts from fastcar11 and domba. I'd put money on the fact that they are the same individual (probably a new competitor) trying to run a smear campaign.

PS - Also note the same greeting, no indent and double-spacing between paragraphs.

TOO SIMILAR. Fastcar11 and Domba are one in the same! Don't trust what they say!
