i had the same thing on my 2000, fortunately it was still under my 90 day warrenty and they replaced the hazard flasher thingy...but i have heard to keep pushing in the hazard button many times to clean the contacts...give it a try
My 2001 zo6 had this problem turned out it was a defective hazard flasher switch check your switch the next time your signals start in hit your hazards see if the signals start working if they do it's the hazard switch

QUIMBO SEEYAAAH
I had the same thing happened to me. 350+ bucks to fix. Good thing I have that extended warranty!
Yes, it's the hazzard switch. I changed out mine and the turn signals now work all the time. Noticed the marking on the replacement, "Made in England." I wonder if the manufacturer is Lucas? For a former Triumph owner, that explains the rash of failures!
I have a 2000 as well with the same problem.I just went in the garage just now and tried pushing in the hazards about 10 times and abraaa ca da braaa my signals are working again.Mine were totally not working.I have saved tons of money just checking my problems on this site before going to a dealer and getting raped.I took the advice when my column locked in a parking lot and just put some elbow grease to shake the column free saving a tow to the dealer.

I felt the same way, had the same solution. You don't even need to push it back and forth for ten minutes, just very gently move it from side to side and they'll start working again. Takes two seconds.
Oh, yes, "abraaa ca da braaa," that'll work for a few hours/days.
Eventually, as in about a month or so, they will stop working completely. Poof!!
No choice but to replace the hazard switch. Sorry.
How much does a new hazard switch cost and can I install it myself or should I take it to the dealer? If its pretty easy then id much rather do it myself unless its a cheap repair.

Yes, I did that for a while on mine, but the problem just kept coming back and getting worse. What finally made me decide to replace the flasher unit was that I couldn't tell if the emergency flasher was on or off, because the lights wouldn't flash at all. After I parked one day at work, a fellow worker told me they were flashing. So, I guess the switch was in the "on" position and finally started to work. I'd hate to leave the car like that for a full day or more and drain the battery.
