Default Need Help and Advice....

Hey fellas,

HELP : I probably should have put this in the classified section, but i figured this would get a better response. I need to do some work on the vette to fix my oil leak before i go forced induction. Does anyone have some good prices on any of this stuff? Any supporting vendors?

(2) water pump gaskets
(1) timing cover gasket
(1) New timing chain
(1) Ported oil pump
(1) pickup tube seal for the oil pump
(1) Front crank seal
(1) New crank bolt
(1) ASP underdrive pulley

ADVICE: Since I am getting into the engine for the gaskets and crank bolt, I was thinkin' about gettin' a more radical cam. I am currently workin' w/ a 224/224 w/ .566 lift. I have brand new single spring 918's installed. What is the largest I can go w/out risking and spring breaking issues (I know the 918's are rated to .600 lift)??? Would it be worth the $$$ to go to a 230/230 w/ .588 lift cam???

Thanks for any help and advice.

Get with any of the forum vendors on the gasket/parts set you will be needing. I would suggest calling DTE or Texas Speed as they have always done me right on both prices and service. Secondly go over your cam needs with them as you will not want to go too big if your planning on forced induction. Selecting the right cam/heads/blower/etc. to work together will net you the best results. Going with a proven package often is the best.
