The pro 5-0 and fbody shifters all mount to the trans, where as the c5 shifter is remote and has a bar that goes into the trans and controls this shifting
I believe the shifter in the c5 is unique to the c5/maybe c6?

The 4th gen F-body shifters WILL NOT work on a C5.
I am parting out my 97 Trans Am WS.6 and quickly learned that the f-body B&M ripper is larger than the C5 ripper shifter. Everything is different.
