The missing plug puck saga continues…..

A few years ago I put FLP headers on our 00’ Coupe.

At 23K miles and almost 3 years old, I found as suspected, the stock spark plugs sucked! My Dyno runs read this like a MRI. The color was fine, #3 was the only plug that had the puck remaining and gapped at .055"(Look close you can see it when new the pucks are 1/32" of the gap!). The other 7 plugs went from .093-. 095”: eek: Yep, over .030” over gapped. To say the least it runs real good with Rapidfire #12s gapped at .060.
Now I just changed the OEM plugs out on our recently acquired 00’ vert., 22K miles. The B&B shortie headers make # 5 & #7 a PITA to change unless you have small hands or remove the AIR crap. I removed the AIR crap & coil pack assy! Not to my surprise.....I found 2 plugs w/o the pucks………The pucks either burn off or are blown out through the exhaust w/o issue.
So I put in NGK TR55s and all is well.
FWIW, If you drive you car hard and it still has the OEM plugs in it……….you can figure the rest.
