I have a B&M shifter in my car now. I have had it for about two years and love it. It does have increased effort though. I installed a Hurst in my Dads Z06. The Hurst is somewhat adjustable. It comes with springs to either loosen or tighten shifter control. I would recommend either one.
Your clutch will handle 400rwhp for awhile if you are just tooling around town. If you plan on using drag radials plan on swapping your clutch sooner then later. The Z06 is a alright clutch for a bolt on C5. I have seen some people that have had good luck with it and some that have had bad luck with it. If you plan on doing heads/cam down the road I would just upgrade to a good aftermarket clutch. It might save you a headache later on. Kaley
It looks like Kaley lined you out on the parts. Ihave the Hurst shifter with a Hurst T-handle, the effort with the T-handle is as easy as stock but you will enjoy the short, precise shifting of the aftermarket shifters.
