Oil Pressure Spike

I am running synthetic oil in my stock 98' - I have noticed on warm up, sometimes I get a spike in the pressue up to 80#. After everything warms up it doesn't seem to be a problem. I have the same reading on the guage and on the readout.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have a ported oil pump in my car and the most I see is 50-60 on cold start up and then 50ish when all is warm..

I doubt it's the sensor, they're either good or bad. Don't know what would cause your problem, though. Filter?

I'm not thinking filter, it gets changed like every 1,000 mi. I'm due so I will switch it out.
