Remote will not stay programmed???

Help! I just bought a 97 coupe and only got one keyless remote. I have programmed it per the owners manual with a new battery, and the remote works great for about 1 minute, then it appears to lose the program. Does this sound like a faulty remote or ?. I had "Batteries Plus" go through about 3 batteries just to make sure the new one was good. Any ideas? I also would like to purchase another (or two if this one is bad) Does anyone have one or a pair for a reasonable price?

Check the contacts. Mine was loose when I first got it. I ended up soldering a small wire onto it so it will keep contact. Works every time now for about 2 years
