Default Need electrical help quickly please!

I am trying to hardwire my V1 in my 04 Z06. Since I want to use the remote unit I can't use the mirror location that is so popular of late. I will confess immediately that I am not very experienced with complicated electronics...I have a basic knowledge...I think enough to do something if I get good instructions...maybe just enough to get myself in real trouble!

Anyway...I would like to hardwire somewhere under the dash...I have the toe board open on the passenger side but can't seem to find any available accessory wires. I would like to find a wire that comes on with the ignition. I have the hardwire setup from Valentine which seems pretty easy to use once I find the right power wire.

Can anyone help me with this...please!

In the passenger footwell there is a three wire bundle. It has a black, yellow, and orange set of wires. It may even have a connector and a short length of wire after the connector that may have the ends taped-off.

I believe the orange is tied to ignition (for on / off), the yellow is always hot, and the black is the ground.

I learned that this bundle does not exist in the newer Z06's. I sure wish it did...it's a great place to wire in accessories. I did find a pigtail with a connector on the right side of the fuse box toward the bottom of the opening right up against the side of the footwell. I think this is used for the power antenna in nonZ06's. It is hot and could be used for certain accessories, but I was looking for a wire that is tied to the ignition.

I did finally come up with an alternative. I used a wire in the ignition bundle and tied into it at the connector similar to the mirror mod. It works great. Thanks for the courtesy of a response.
