Default FI or Big Cubes?

What ends up costing less in the end turbo/supercharger or A bigger motor? Im looking at doing Headers and a cam ,but i know as soon as i have that 4 a few months i will be board of the new found power and want more! How much total does a 383 or 408 run complete? I already know how much The Ati kit from ECS is and the TTi kit im just lookin for a comparison in price. I know im gonna have to sometime look at rebuilding my motor if i run FI. thanks adam

Especially in the winter, I believe 550rwtq is the max usable power on the street. You have to go DRs or tubbing to get that to the ground, and a sensitive right foot. You can get there without too much effort with either FI or CI.

For serious horsepower, either way you have to rebuild the entire motor. The biggest cost difference between the two is the cost of replacing the crankshaft, and a larger bore. This is about the same cost as a blower setup, so they're about even in total cost. Either way going over 500rwtq you'll replace the rest of the drivetrain.

Keep in mind there are more moving parts with adding a blower, so overall reliability drops. You can always add a blower to a big inch motor!

I have always believed that there is no replacement for displacement.

I've had a well known tuner (on LS1Tech) tell me he thinks an LS6 bottom end and a ProCharger D1SC is the ideal bang for the buck. He's done a few
