Tire sensor absence causing other problems?
Hey folks,
I recently had a shop screw up when they installed my tires - to wit: they left off all four sensors and broke one of them. I'm waiting for a replacement part now, so I can have all four put back on. In the interim I'm of course getting the DIC message, however, it says only 3 of my tires are flat. The fourth (driver's side rear - not the one they broke) is showing 32 psi. Yesterday I got a DIC message saying something like "Service Tire Sensor" or words to that effect. This morning, in addition to that, I now have DIC messages of "Service Active Handling," "Service ABS," and "Service Car Soon." Are these being caused by the absence of the sensors?? The car is an '01 with 38K miles. Any thoughts?
