How will rim width vs tire size affect ride, handling?
I've decided on SSR wheels and I'm mulling over my choices for tires. Had a look at the C6 runflats which have so far been getting good reviews. Trouble is, 1. they're a little smaller than I'd like and 2. the max rated rim width for the front and rear tires matches the SSR wheels at 9.5" and 11.0" respectively. These widths are a full 1" wider on both front and rear than stock C6. This may help with well clearances for a bigger rim but what about ride, handling, safety, and wear patterns. Any reason to be concerned? Or should I stick with non-runflats in 265/295 f/R?
