it means that either 1) the left bank of cylinders aren't running properly 2) your front, rear or both heated oxygen sensors aren't responding properly or 3) your catalytic converter for that bank is failing. Three way cat codes can be very tricky if you're not familiar with the car.

cat efficiency is measured by the rear o2's.look for a loose sensor or a exhaust leak near the rear o2 or the clamp that holds the cat on.any air/exhaust leaks near the rear o2 can flip the sensor out and set this fault.if the sensor and all check out,the cat is probably bad.
