Default Should I replace the MAF?

I have the CArtek Stage 2 heads and cam, roller rockers, twin input filters and ported throttle body. When this was first done, I had a power drop at around 2.5k rpm. I was told to put back in the original MAF and it went away. Am I loosing power by doing this? If so, how can I use the after market MAF and get rid of the power drop?

I was wondering what happened to you... I would stick with the OE MAF for your application and forget fooling around with an aftermarket MAF. Maybe better switching to a Z06 MAF if you feel that you need to improve upon the regular C5 MAF.

Only reason I had to go aftermarket with my MAF... was the high amount of airflow that my car draws could not effectivly be metered with the OE unit.
