'99 wheels on '04

'99 wheels on '04
Can the '99 wheels and sensors be used on a 2004 vette. I know the wheels are a direct fit but I'm not sure if the 2004 computer can read the sensors supplied with the '99 vette. Just want to save a few $$ by using the mounted snow tires from my '99 on the '04.

'99 sensors won't work on an '04. However, if you can live w/o the readout, and can either ignore or just hit "reset" when you get a message on your DIC, you don't need to fiddle with them - it won't hurt anything.

The 99 sensors will not work on the 04. They changed sensors in 01. The 99 sensors will work in 97 thru 00 & your 04 sensors will in 01 thru 04.

hmmm... 98 sensors will work with a 00 pressure receiver.
that receiver also is used for the key FOB.
so If I replace my pressure/FOB receiver with one out of a 00, then not only will my pressure sensors still function, but I will also be able to use the cheaper remotes that don't have a ind of thier own.
