I was putting my car back together after installing the LS6 manifold (it has been a trip) and in my haste I didnt lube the injectors before trying to get them back into the fuel rail. Sure enough the first injector I tried hammering back into the rail had part of the o-ring break off.
Ive been trying to source a new o-ring for two days, Pep boys said go to the dealer, dealer says there isnt an individual part number for the ring, they had an o-ring in a box somewhere that my friend looked at, completely different size, other local auto store has the same wrong-sized ring.
Does anyone know WHERE I can get this damn part? Are these injectors used on any other vehicle? Anyone local (MD/DC/VA) have a spare injector lying around?
Im really trying to get my car back together by Saturday so I can go to a wedding. Help would be appreciated.
I got a set at Napa. I don't know why you can't buy them like I did. Try Napa and ask them for injector rebuild kit or for LS1 injector o-rings. Worst-case I have extras but I don't know how to get them to you that quickly.

99 up 4.8/5.3/6.0/8.1 truck
04 up gto now.
should all be the same
and if you need one, i think i have a few in my tool box.
What size was the "O" ring you picked up at Home Depot that worked? I'm looking to do this soon and would just as soon have some extras lying around just in case.
Go to Home Depot, they have a Oring that fits perfectly. Tip I found handy from that other LS1 forum.
watch out there, I also cut an O-ring a while back and while I was waiting for one from Napa I got a temp one from Lowes that was the same size, since I was unsure the material was safe to use with fuel I bought 2, I placed 1 in a cup covered it with fuel and let it sit, then I put the other one on the car and after 2 days the one in the cup wa so swollen I parked my car until Napa came up with the correct O-ring.
I'm sure you know that an underhood car fire is a very very bad thing

What is the part # from Napa. I just want some O Rings so that I have peace of mind when I do the swap.
