need advise coil over broke today
I have west coast coil overs on my 98. As I was driving home the right rear coil over broke.It broke at the top of the coil over right below the nut.Now my car is nicely lowered on that side.Has anyone else had this problem and do I have to buy a complete coil over to fix it.The car had the coil overs on it when I bought it so I don't know much about them.
Any advise would be great.

I don't understand what broke. Was it the point where the bearing is welded to the shock, the spring, or bushing that broke. It'd help a lot of you posted a pic. Anyway, you should be able to replace a single part, but if it's a design problem, it'll happen again until the design flaw is corrected.

The car is so low I couldn't get my jack under it to see real well but I was able to see the coil over laying down and broke at the very top right before it goes into the brace on the car.I'm going to pick up some ramps today.I can take some photos and try to post hopefully Its easier to post then when I tryed posting pics last time.I am ready to just put stock shocks on it anyway the coil overs make it ride like crap.I have a 01 that rides like a cadi compaired to the 98.
