can certain plugs cause spark knock?

can certain plugs cause spark knock?

I am running the bosch 4 tip (electrode) plugs, could these cause my spark knock? I am about to install headers, what type plugs should I change to?

All else being equal the issue is typically heat range of the plugs... too hot (not passing enough combustion heat to the heads) and igniting the mixture too soon.

whats a good plug for ls1 with bolt ons?

Any suggestions for plugs I could try? Information and Experience needed. My ls1 is stock except for bolt ons. I have some spark knock at low and high rpms under heavy throttle.

Put in NGK TR55s at .050 gap and you'll love them. If you don't mind changing them more often, you could also go with the NGK TR6s, which are one step colder and will lessen the spark knock a bit more.

I had the Bosch +4's in my stock engine - and took thenm out only after 100 miles.

Went with the AC Delco Iridiums - and everything smooooothed out nicely
