MAF's are junk, use the stock ones. underdrive pullies are on the border. some have idle issues with them-not worth it to me, i'd do an air intake and headers for a stick and air intake and a convertor for an auto for bang for the buck

IMHO... MAF's are poor $$$ spent....if your doing a cam the underdrive pulley is an option....otherwise a lot of labor for a little gain....IMHO

IMO best bang for the buck is gears 3.90 or 4.10 and an intake on an M6. High stall T/C, gears and an intake on an A4.

MAF isn't much of a restriction. Most guys see well over 550 RWHP before it becomes a restriction. Pulley, like stated above, lot's of labor for minimal gain unless your intalling a cam or oil pump.

I've read a lot of threads about problems with MAF's!

The best bang for the buck in terms of HPs is a hotter cam. The best bang for the buck in term s of mechanical advantage is rear end gears.

Get rid of the stock airbox and use the zip tie modification. Free (zip ties 1.99 at home depot) adds about 10 hp. Headers, X pipe, LS1-edit/dyno tune. Gears really help on the A4, especially if you have the 2.73 ratio Basically get it to inhale and exhale, then have the tune done.
