Vacuum leak?
Merry Christmas to all you vetters.
Would you believe I am still driving mine in Montana, when its supposed to be snowing. Supposed to, key words.
Anyway, my girl has a kind of slight washing machine type noise under the hood and a low whistle in the cockpit. A mechanic told me he thought it might be a vacuum leak. Others I have described the noise to say the same thing. Nothing is wrong as far as performance is concerned and everything else works.
I was wondering what operates with a vacuum, and should I be concerned driving it. I plan to take it into Missoula, the only place to take it, in the spring after the slipperies are gone.
Any input on this vacuum thing or any other suggestions as to what it might be would be appreciated.
