i got my best Xmas present a few days early- my iforged Swift 19/20's
i notice they use a unique 90 degree valve stem. So I ask you other iforged wheel owners- how does one mount the tire sensors now? I already have the necessary supplies (straps and epoxy), but where and how do they mount since the tire sensor's valve stem cannot be used?
I just put non-runflat tires on my new Iforged wheels ...didnt bother with the pressure sensors. If you do want them though, I would just recommend mounting them somewhere inside the tire and dont use the attached valve (ie. use the iforged valve)
...should work as I dont think they measure differential pressure. Could be wrong though.
I mounted my tire pressures in the deepest portion of the barrel.
You remove the air valve from inside the sensors, apply adhesive (I used body panel adhesive instead of epoxy, as the excess blobs of epoxy made the wheels hard to balance, plus the urethane adhesive allows for a certain amount of give instead of cracking when you hit large bumps.) Lastly, attach the straps over the sensors and be careful not to overtighten them.
Good luck.
