Low Air Pressure Message
My C5 is garaged more than it is driven. Now, I'm getting the “low air pressure” messages for the RF and RR tires.
The tires were checked and inflated to the recommended pressure; however, the messages are still being displayed.
Please review and advise…
Sincerely,
Jim

My C5 would record the pressure as I inflated but some record
the pressure after being driven as it needed tire rotation to
reread from the sensors.
Drive it a block or two and make sure the pressure is 25 lbs or more.
If it still isn't correct, see your dealer.

If you just added air to them, the displayed pressures won't immediately update. There is a motion sensor in the sensors and they only update once an hour when not moving (over 20mph) to preserve battery life.
If you drive the car a few miles, the messages should clear.

You can activate them by using a magnet or driving over 5 mph. The units do not transmit when the wheels are not turning above that speed.

I garage my c5 quite a bit aswell and the tire pressure sensors always dispay a low pressure reading when I first pull out of the driveway. I agree with everyone else in that the sensors need to reset themselves and recalibrate the tire pressure. The codes always disappear after I drive about a half mile.
