Default How to install a Caravaggio spoiler

I searched forum but did not find any detailed instructions, I think I have bought one from forum member Wes G. and hope to get it picked up next week but am curious on how to install. I did read some on sanding and I assume that is sanding something on spoiler not car?? Also do I understand right it double side tapes on?
Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!

Do you have the short wing that attaches to the corner end of the rear deck and wraps around the fenders?

The Caravaggio rear spoiler DOES indeed attach with double sided tape. If you are buying the spoiler from someone who had it on a C5 already, you should not have to do any of the sanding you've heard about.

If it is a first time install (was NOT installed on the origional owners car) then you may have to sand the spoiler (not the car) a little to get it to perfectly fit the rear of the car.

Typically the sanding is needed at the area of the points where it wraps around the side of the car. Many of these spoilers 'pinch' the car at those two points and need sanding so they lay flat and do not pinch the car.

I'd advise using a minimum of 2 people to place the spoiler on the car after you have it all prepped and ready to drop on.

Thanks for information, this would be a new one if I get it worked out so it sounds like sanding tips is in order.
Thanks again

b Sanding the tips MAY be in order. They are all slightly different being that they are hand made.

They ALL fit very well, just some need a little tweaking to make the just perfect.

So the best advice I can give is to fit it up against the car and see just where it needs to be sandied, if it even needs any at all. YOur spoiler may need nothing done at all.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck,
