Were you asking about their drag strip or the big oval track?

Our West Coast Corvette Challenge drag racing group has had events at California Speedway in our 2002 and 2003 seasons. On both occasions, the large number of cars(non-Corvettes, mostly imports) prevented us from getting more than two time trial runs in prior to eliminations, and we usually had to wait about two hours between each of those two time trial rounds, and we also had to pre-pay for 50 tech cards, and we generally can't get 50 Corvettes willing to drag race. So for those reasons, we gave up on Cali Speedway. If you are interested in joining us for Corvette only drag racing at other tracks, check out our website: http://corvette-challenge.com

Our first WCCC event for the 2005 season is scheduled for Sunday, January 23 at LACR.

We have had two private events at the drag strip this year with a max. of 75 cars. You could hot lap until you break something!!

But Al, you can't say that there were 75 Corvettes participating at either of those two private track days. If we could get 75 Corvettes to drag race at one time, the WCCC would consider renting the track. How many 'Vettes do you recall being there?

Hi,
Great drag strip but a lot of cars so go early. Or, look for the private drag days.
For a track day, you can run the oval with Open Road Racing or the infield with Speed Ventures or NASA. SCCA does Solo 2 in the parking lot.
Good luck,
Steve

I didn't say 75 Corvettes, I think I said, 75 cars. At the first event there were more Corvettes, approx. 15-20 and approx. 10-15 at the last event.
