I have a 2K Vert and have been running a custom made CAT Back exhaust with no mufflers with removed factory H Pipe and LOVED the sound (and backfire
Just installed LS6 Ported Heads, Cam and FLP long tube headers with CAT's and X-Pipe. The car now sounds like a Yamaha Crouch Rocket!
Has anyone experimented with adding resonators to the exhaust to remove the "High Notes"? I know removing the X-Pipe would probably help but don't want to lose the extra HP. Also, don't want to run Mufflers (too quiet).
With a complete FLP system and Corsa Indy catback my car has a great rumble and at WOT it sounds like a freaking stock car.
I am thinking the reason you have the crotch rocket sound is your homemade catback. You should look into one of the guys/gals here selling a used system, lots of good deals to be found around here most of the time.
