Welcome to the forum and Congrats on your 02 !
If I remember correctly there is a release tab you press in order to turn it counter clock-wise.

Push the tab and twist till it comes out. I'm glad to hear someone else can reach through the duct like me.

Open you hood, turn on your head lights and look down at the parking light housing. I found a hole in mine about the size of a dime. This is a common C5 problem. Everytime I had my son, with small hands, change the bulb it would blow. Water plays hell with it. Repaired the hole , and no problems since.

Welcome to the club! “The royal order of front turn signal changers” I’ve changed 4 left side in the last 6 weeks! I go through the duct and it takes about 2 minutes to do. There is a tab on the backside, just mash it in and turn CC/W. Every body says there is a hole that the bulb has melted through the housing but I haven’t been able to feel it. When the weather warms and I get time I’m going to find out, or try to, how its getting wet. Also it’s been posted DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB! I haven’t tried that or using GM bulbs, Another suggestion.

I've actually seen the holes mine have made. It's all bubbly and melted toward the light. I've never really done anything to fix mine. I've only had on light go out on mine. However I did change them out a few times to keep the same type and brightness for them.
