GUYS I RECENTLY INSTALLED A 6000K MCOLLOCH HID KIT ON MY VETTE AND I CAN'T COMPLAIN, WOW IT IS AMAZING. i HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANY OTHER HID USERS HAVE BEEN GETTING AND ITS THAT WHEN GOING ON A TWO WAY ROAD THE ONCOMIG TRAFFIC FLASHES THE HIGH BEAMS AT ME. MY LIGHTS ARE AIMED DOWN COMPARED TO OTHER VETTES BUT I WAS WONDEING IF THE LIGHTS ARE JUST TOO INTENSE FOR SENSITIVE DRIVERS. MY WORST EXPIRINCE WAS A WEEK AGO ON VACATION IN NORTH CAROLINA WHILE DRIVING IN THE MOUNTAINS WITH TRUCKS THROWING HIGH BEAMS AT ME. lET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK, SO FAR NO TICKETS SO I GUESS ITS LEGAL.
I have the CATZ HID 5000K system and I have never been flashed....my lights are very bright.I have mine aimed down and slightly to the right....just adjust them a little more.
sounds like you just need to aim them. i have the lapd exports with h4s. i had them installed at the dealer and have never had any complaints from other drivers. only thing so far is that the glass housings are heavier and bounce slightly on bumpy roads. good luck

The way HID headlights work is that rather than sending a wide dim beam, they throw a very bright, tightly focused beam. On a car equipped with them from the factory, the headlight buckets are designed for these lights. Yours aren't That means that they're sending that very bright light in the same place that the old beams went...in other words, right in people's eyes. Bring them down and probably a bit to the right as well.
Yeah basically your using a completely wrong setup. The stock halogen housings are not designed for HID light output. The least you can do right now is aim they MUCH lower and to the right (as already mentioned).
This is one of the main reasons I would never do a plug-n-play HID retrofit.
I went with an HID projector setup mounted in my stock housings. This way I basically keep the stock pop-up look but have the output of OEM HID projectors and I keep oncomming drivers happy

I had the same issue and just adjusted ( bent ) some tabs to make them tight.
