Hey Guys

We made the trip in hopes of seeing some fun heads up racing. ECS was there with bells on and Mike (Tek) was true to his word and showed up hoping to do battle. Unfortunatle the day was complicated a bit. The track s@cked due to the cold weather and mike was having some tranny problems hitting the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift not allowing him to get off a clean run. Doug did a great job in peddaling the new ECS beast down the track with a best of 10.6 @ 134 that was with a weak 1.6 60 ft. From what I saw I know we would have had some great racing had the conditions and mikes tranny been holding.

Great Job by all

Nice to see that Mike was there ''representing." Too bad his car was acting up.

Well, I am sure there will be other opportunities to do some battle later this year, and when the track conditions will be more accomodating.

I won't even bother going back to Atco until they're back on a regular full week program , that track sucked big time , the weather is only going to get worse over the next two months and with Atco only running a Sunday program I don't see that track hooking till spring .

My first run I spun the tires bad and aborted the run , the second run I managed a 1.51 60ft which was still way off for Atco , then the car hit the limiter hard on the 2-3 shift and then started to dance around pretty good so I lifted around the 1/8th mile mark . I don't know if it was the trans slipping or if it was tire spin because the track was so bad . I was going to make another pass and then a Mustang flipped and rolled and the track was shut down again so I left . It was a waste of a day . I'm going to have the trans looked over and I'll probably hit the track again down in Florida or I'll wait until spring here in the northeast .

If your breaking my chops it should be very obvious that the entire post was sarcastic......and we will be there with a handfull of cars this year. Last year we didn't start racing untill late August I think. Fortunatly we were simply to busy to put effort into it, and in our shop the customers always come first. Wether it is a stock car or a 9 sec car. Besides, if you dont include the back halfed cars, other than Major spray I believe we had the fastest cars there last year. Meaning mine and Marks car (formally Chris's). Even if we did'nt have time to show for every race.

This year should be very interesting, I highly dought 10 anything will qualify.

Just don't give them anymore "nightmares" and maybe, just maybe, they'll find time in their busy schedule to come to the track.

Of course, I do like the statement "customers first" from Doug. But all work and no play makes Chris, Doug, Marc (and John ) dull boys.

Actually i really was not busting chops, i was asking a serious question. You constantly mention racing the Vette Doctors at the Quick 8, but by last years points standings, it shows you were hardly even there. So let me ask my question again. Who is gonna be racing who? See ya there.

I thought I clairified our lack of attendance, But with the addition of couple more employees here helping to get the work out, I don't think we will miss to many next year. I guess I keep refering to racing the Vette doctors since they were the only other guys there with a few consistant 9 sec cars. (excluding back halfed cars). It's not much of a race if the cars are a half a second apart. I'm sure that the field will be much tighter this year by all that attend, wich is why I said "this year should be very interesting".

Mike (Stealth) 9.9
John Carter(blue vert) 9.8
John Carter(black z06) 9.7
Brent 10.0
Paul(twin turbo) 9.8
Mike Conway 10.2
Jerry Land 10.4

Boweryboy 9s
Kenny low10s(if my memory serves me right)
PaulMajor mid 9s
Brian Miller low 10s
Backhalf car high 8s
and maybe a few more that i cant think of right now

So, from what we have seen in the past, it looks like The Vette Doctors and Cartek have a pretty long list of cars that take up a majority of the field. It would be nice to see you guys finally have a couple of cars(that are not shop cars) that can keep up. It sounds like this year should be fun.

Brian Miller (let me have it for a few passes it will be in the 9s for sure it makes crazy power)

Unless I'm wrong, (and I could be) none of those cars ran those numbers at the quik 8 events. The Vette Doctors dominated the FAST car field with ECS behind them. Sorry but 10 second cars just arent impressive anymore. Isn't that increadable, seeya there.

How can you not be impressed by a 10sec N/A cam only car? or even a mid/low ten sec N/A head and cam car. Funny, considering i have seen some head/cam/supercharged cars running in the 12s. All that on the same car that went faster before the blower was installed, with just heads and cam.

On that note, i guess you are gonna continue to ignore my original question on who do you think is gonna be racing who this year.
