Are there any disadvantages to using a solid lifter camshaft? What parts have to be changed from a stock LSX engine? Where can you get the parts? Thanks in advance

Increases internal friction over roller lifters, will need to be adjusted as they, and the cam lobes wear. Will clatter like...well, like solid lifters...
Well, you can get solid roller lifters now, so friction loss really isn't an issue any more.
The biggest issue is that the solid lifter set-up will be noisier than hydraulic lifters and you will have to do periodic lash adjustments. How frequently you'll have to do the adjustments depends on what set-up you run.
I remember SW here saying he had to do real frequent adjustments on his until he switched over to the same set-up the C5R's use. He could go a pretty long time between adjustments after that. Just what was involved in making the change, I don't know. MTI did the work on SW's car, so they should be able to answer any questions for you.
